About TaxPlanCalc
TaxPlanCalc is a set of free calculators for the money decisions around retirement and taxes: when to convert to a Roth, how much your RMD is, what a FERS pension pays, what you owe on 1099 income, and what your state takes.
Each calculator works on your own numbers and shows the result as a list of steps, so you can see how the answer was reached. Results are estimates for planning, not tax or investment advice, and they don't replace a return prepared for your full situation.
Where the numbers come from
Tax brackets, limits and tables are from the agencies that set them. State rates come from each state's revenue department and the Tax Foundation's 2026 state income tax table.
